Train: There is a train network in Turkey. Its is a real adventure! Its very slow except Istanbul to Ankara. Please check with your guide book and go to the Istasyon ( Train Station ) for the fare and time table.

Generall Information:

Turkey is a safe country! Its a modern muslime country! English is NOT widely spoken, except Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya, Cappadocia and major tourist destinations. Please take a phrase book with you and use it, many doors will open! Generall vaccinations needed, e.g. Hep A / B, Typhus (pretty good). In the very southeastern region of Turkey is a little risk of malaria! Dont get vaccins for rabbies its not necessary!

Single women should not be affraid to travel alone! The turkish society is very conservative regarding behavior of single men in the public. But please use “conservative” travel clothes to protect yourself from any hasseling!
